How LaMaddalena was born
Soft hills, fields that change their appearance with each season and at sunset. Peace, tranquility, and the scents of the countryside… Above all, a good kitchen made of ancient recipes passed down from our grandparents, along with a love for our land.
This is LaMaddalena restaurant, open on weekdays and holidays.
You can enjoy lunches, dinners, and hearty breakfasts, rest peacefully in warm rooms, and explore Filottrano and the surrounding villages.
In the hectic life of everyday life, surrounded by the cold colors of the city, it’s rare to witness scenes of bucolic life, to spend evenings surrounded by nature, inside a small farmhouse with a rustic style and a welcoming atmosphere.
Spending a day at Ristorante LaMaddalena means not only diving into traditional Marche cuisine but also having the opportunity to witness country life scenes, such as the slow procession of geese crossing the garden every evening to return to their home.
The restaurant is also a farm: 27 hectares of land cultivated with vines, olive trees, and cereals, in addition to a small vegetable garden for the restaurant’s produce; there is also an open farm raising poultry, such as geese, rabbits, chickens, and hens.
With these ingredients, Mama Graziella in the kitchen, along with her husband, three daughters, and grandmother, prepares cannelloni, gnocchi with goose ragù, and traditional tagliatelle. Among the main courses, goose remains the favorite, with roast goose, porchetta-style rabbit, and grilled meats. Even the bread, the delicious crescia, and the desserts are homemade: how can you resist tasting the dry biscuits with quince jelly cooked with must (all coming from the garden right behind the house)?
Mama Graziella’s passion for cooking began in 2005, and after the renovation of the old farmhouse, it now hosts up to 100-120 people in four dining rooms, offering 4 bedrooms and a large garden for outdoor relaxation during the warmer months.
